Bendigo Bank "gets hip!"

Bendigo Bank's Half Year Results Briefing held on February 13 received a favourable mention in the Australian Financial Review. Below is an edited piece from the story:

Bendigo Bank gets hip to the MP3 generation
(Angus Grigg AFR 14/02/06)
It's hard to fault Bendigo Bank's disclosure. The outfit., is really keeping up with technology.
At a briefing on its half-year result yesterday, the bank had all mediums covered.
Not only could investors dial into a conference call or watch the webcast, there was also a podcast for those that have caught the MP3 wave.

We are pleased to say that Thomson Financial managed the event and provided all of the services mentioned in the article, teleconference, webcast, podcast and MP3 download.

February Reporting Season - Record Month for Webcasts

February 2006 reporting season saw yet another dramatic increase in the number of live and archived webcasts delivered. This season Thomson Financial delivered in excess of 130 webcasts from locations in Australia and New Zealand.

All webcasts were managed from the new Streaming Operations Centre ("SOC") in Pyrmont Sydney. The SOC is Australasia's largest internet broadcast facility and enables far greater scalability and redundancy for live events. A number of clients have already toured the new facility.

Broadband - One click to Full screen

Thomson Financial is now offering an additional broadband video format for live and archived webcasts - one click to full screen mode. This means that viewers, subject to their internet connectivity, can click a button on the webcast interface and view a webcast in full screen video. This is particularly useful for events where PowerPoint slides are not being used and an optimised video image is preferred. Thomson Financial recently webcast the world launch of the Toyota "Aurion" from the Melbourne Motor Show, and the full screen mode was incorporated as part of the broadband version.
